Election Officers / Polling Places Needed

If you would like to serve as an Election Officer on election day, or if you could provide the use of your home and/or other facility to be used as a polling place location on election day, El Dorado County needs your help. For every election, the Elections Department must acquire polling place locations and recruit Election Officers to work at the polling places in the county.

Election Officers Qualifications and Reimbursements

1. 18 years of age
2. Registered to vote in El Dorado County
3. Able to serve from 6:30 AM until approximately
    9:30 PM when all closing duties are complete.
4. INSPECTORS: $120.00
    Must attend training class
5. JUDGES: $105
    Must attend training class
6. CLERK: $95.00

Student Pollworker Program Qualifications

1. 16 years of age
2. Grade point average 2.5
3. Must have permission of parents/guardians and government teacher

We are fortunate to have Mr. Richard Parsons, retired High School Government Teacher, available to give talks on the importance of voting. We have High School students from several local high schools that go out in the evening 29 days before elections are held and register voters at local area supermarkets from 5PM until 9PM.
