Dispatch
Central Dispatch was formed in 1981 to provide the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office and other public safety agencies with radio dispatch services. The dispatch center is a Public Safety Answering Point (or PSAP) for all 911 telephone calls placed from any hard-line phone within the unincorporated areas of El Dorado County. Using a complex Computer Aided Dispatch system, emergency calls are received, logged, and efficiently directed to sheriff's deputies working out in the communities of our county .
