Drive Up Voting, How Convenient

Election Ballot DropThe Registrar of Voters, Bill Schultz, had an idea to make it easier for voters to handle their (Absentee) Vote by Mail Ballot.

All you have to do is drive, walk, ride your bike, skateboard, scooter or whatever to the parking lot at Bldg. "C", 2850 Fairlane Court at the Government Center in Placerville and deposit your Mail Ballot into the "very special" Ballot Drop Box.

As you can see from the picture, it is a drive up type box. This box is safe, secure and emptied on a regular basis. Your ballot WILL be counted. It is available every day all day from now until 8pm election night, the 4th of November, 2008. We have collected over 500 ballots so far, no postage is necessary since it is not a collection for regular mail.
