January 6, 2012, at 12:19 am, El Dorado County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 24 Hub Street in Pollock Pines to a reported structure fire.   As deputies arrived on scene they located the residence fully engulfed in fire.  Deputies located a female outside of the burning residence and moved her to safety.  According to the female, her husband was still in the burning residence.

Once fire crews extinguished the fire a deceased male subject was located inside the residence.  The male subject could not be identified on scene and identification will be determined at autopsy.
