Master PlanSACRAMENTO-PLACERVILLE TRANSPORTATION CORRIDOR (SPTC)

General Services administers the county's portion of the Sacramento-Placerville Transportation Corridor (SPTC) which consists of 537 parcels along 28 miles of right-of-way formerly owned by the Southern Pacific Railroad, and oversees implementation of the SPTC Master Plan which was adopted by the Board of supervisors in February 2003. In addition, this division manages the 77 leases within the corridor.

It is the County's intent to open the corridor up to the public for hiking, bicycle, and equestrian use. The first portion of trail to be developed will be the section from Ray Lawyer to Missouri Flat Road. This includes crossing Weber Creek. The plans to design this section in 2007 and construct it in 2008.
