Passport Applications are not accepted after 4:00 PM

The El Dorado County Recorder-Clerk's office acts as a "passport agent" for the U.S. Passport Service. Completed applications can be brought to this office for processing by providing:

  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship;
  • Proof of identity;
  • Two photographs;
  • Payment of required fees

Note: Proof of Parentage for children under 16 (Birth Certificate)

New Passport Fees - Effective July 13
New passport fees for the U.S. Passport Book, the U.S. Passport Card, and other passport services will be in effect on Tuesday, July 13, 2010. The schedule of new fees for passport application services is as follows:
