Duties of the Committee The Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) is comprised of eleven volunteers appointed to advise and recommend to the Board of Supervisors regarding policies, project approvals, and courses of action designed to facilitate sustainable economic growth of the County's economy. Additionally, EDAC is to annually review the success of the Economic Development Element and County's Economic Development Strategy, assist with the drafting and implementation of an annual 12-month action plan for the coming year, and take action to ensure sustainable economic growth and continued diversification of the economy. For further information please review the General Plan's Economic Development Element. Over the next 12 months, EDAC will focus their efforts on implementing the Board approved 12 Month Action Plan for Economic Development and undertake to establish teams around the below listed community and economic development initiatives.
For those who are interested in supporting these efforts, you are encouraged to attend the EDAC meetings. These are scheduled to occur on the third Thursday of each month from 9:00 - noon. Meeting location information may be found below. The EDAC also assists in planning Business Walks in communities around the County.
