[.pdf]
The El Dorado County Health Services Department, Public Health Division is holding H1N1 flu vaccination walk-in clinics for the general public during the month of January. There is no cost to receive the vaccine. The vaccine will be administered subject to availability. The H1N1 vaccination walk-in clinics will be held every Wednesday in January from 1 p.m. to
4 p.m. at the Public Health Division, 1360 Johnson Boulevard, Suite 103, South Lake Tahoe.
“There continues to be widespread flu activity in many parts of the nation” said El Dorado County Health Officer, Dr. Olivia Kasirye. “Although we saw a decline in December, the activity is unpredictable and can rise and fall throughout the season. Therefore, we encourage people to get vaccinated, now that the supply has increased.” People should check with their family doctor about getting the H1N1 vaccine in the doctor’s office if they can.
Appointments are also available for the H1N1 flu vaccination on Mondays and Fridays. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call (530) 573-3155. Updated local information on H1N1 flu can be found at www.edcgov.us/publichealth. |
