The American River Authority (ARA)
was formed in 1982 to support
construction of the Auburn Dam, and
has since expanded its scope to also
include a variety of other water issues.
The ARA is a joint powers authority
comprised of Placer, El Dorado and
San Joaquin counties, and the Placer
and El Dorado County Water Agencies

The Mountain Counties Water Resouces
Association’s mission is to unite
agencies, groups and individuals whose
insterests include protecting and
enhancing Mountian County water
resources throughout the foreseeable
future.
Their vision is to strengthen autonomous
member entities implementation of their
jusrisdictional responsibilities through
information sharing, issue awareness,
education, and potential legislative
action or legal support.

CABY Fiscal Oversite Committee

The CABY Fiscal Oversite Committee formed
so the four Water Agencies (Placer County
Water Agency, El Dorado Irrigation District,
El Dorado County Water Agency, and Nevada
Irrigation District) who are sharing the CABY
budget costs can have oversite of their contribution. |
